Studio Journal
Studio
Nigerian-born, Houston-based multidisciplinary artist working in acrylic on lace, murals, and public art.
How I Work
I paint and design in my studio. That's where every idea starts, and where I work out each piece in detail.
Everything bigger happens outside it. Murals and public art are made on site. Large sculptures and installations are built in warehouse space I rent for each project. For metal and fiberglass, I work with specialist artists, a welder and a fiberglass artist, who handle the hands-on fabrication while I supervise and direct every detail.
The design is always mine, from start to finish.

The carnival workshop
From 2010 to 2015 Adeodunfa was creative director of the Lagos Carnival, designing and building its large, colourful floats.
“The floats existed only for a day, but in that moment, they transformed public space into a celebration of culture, unity, and movement.”

Lace and the studio today
He paints in acrylic on vintage lace, a signature approach that honors textile memory.
The lace in his paintings came from his mother’s collection of vintage laces.
